Ambassadors for Peace and Understanding

The largest fund-raiser of our year is the Annual Cable Auction.  This year, the Auction will be held in February 2015.  The Auction Committee has already been at work, and the first full committee meeting will be held in early October – after our 16th Annual Golf Tournament.  Scot Kudcey and his team are doing a fantastic job of putting what looks to be a very successful tournament together for October 6th. (If you’re interested in challenging yourself to the 18 holes at Easton Country Club, let Scot know!). There are some great prizes!! Or come for dinner and support our Club’s work - $25.00.

Oh, Yes, the Auction and other….

The Auction, which is “live,” is broadcast by ECAT from 2 to 8 PM. It’s a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.

In this past year, among the grants and contributions made by our Lions Club within our community, are:

  • OAHS Cross Country Boosters
  • OAHS Drama Club
  • Boy Scouts Troop # 42
  • Old Colony YMCA
  • Easton Food Pantry
  • Father Bill’s and MainSpring
  • OAHS Robotics Team
  • Troop 42 Eagle Scout Project
  • NEADS/Dogs for Deaf & Disabled
  • OAHS Swim Team
  • Safe Grad Night
  • Easton Middle School Best Buddies
  • Children’s Museum
  • VFW Post Project
  • Bridgewater Lions Project – “Fishing (for the Blind)”
  • Easton Recreation Dept. Summer Activities
  • OAHS & SERHS Scholarships
  • OAHS Lacrosse Team

Our Mission

We are dedicated to serving the Easton community, to stimulate community spirit, encourage personal development, to provide financial and material resources to benefit our community and the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund's goal to fund research related to the prevention and cure of eye-related diseases.

President's Message

Even for hardy New Englanders, this is getting too much. We’re in the midst of a record breaking winter of snow and cold. It looks like the return of the Ice Age out there as we navigate intersections while shopping center parking lots look like they are enclosed by the Rocky Mountains. With these conditions, the Club postponed the Auction until the weekend of 2/28, and I’m hoping the stuff thaws and temperatures climb above 20 degrees before then.
